My father, Garay Alibayov, passionately pursued acting and filmmaking, appearing in numerous movies. He has always had a deep appreciation for various forms of art and has cultivated friendships with fellow artists in the field of theater, including actors, directors, and more. Observing and interacting within their professional world has greatly influenced my own artistic worldview.
In the world of artists, a common reality is the struggle for survival, particularly in underdeveloped nations. My dad, well aware of this, ingeniously managed to juggle his creative pursuits with the responsibility of providing for our family. He ventured into various business opportunities, all while pursuing his passion for art and contributing to the best of his abilities. It’s a level of performance akin to what is displayed on stage, yet the experience itself is undeniably authentic and profound.
Garay Alibayov is incredibly socially interactive and always knows how to respond in any situation. I’ve been fortunate to accompany him to many places, and people have always found him fascinating and filled with positive energy. Despite facing challenging economic times, he has managed to lead a successful life and find ways to provide for our family.
His experiences are a captivating collection of incredible stories. From navigating the railway systems of Russia and Azerbaijan during fall of USSR, encountering the daring challenges posed by the Chechen mafia, to discovering rare and exotic flowers that thrive in his summer palace greenhouse, he derives immense pleasure from the art of gardening.
He served as the chairman of Cultural Development Center, an NGO dedicated to promoting Azerbaijani art on the international stage. Under his leadership, the organization successfully executed numerous projects, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Azerbaijan and establishing its contemporary presence.
He currently serving as the chairman of the Culture Ministry’s Public Council, with a particular focus on shaping youth culture and cultivating the interests of young people in art, theatrical performances, and festivals in Azerbaijan. Through his leadership, he has been instrumental in fostering a vibrant cultural scene that engages and inspires the younger generation.
Garay Alibayov is a caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who finds joy in spending time gardening. He takes pride in nurturing and planting tens of thousands of flowers, which blossom beautifully in his rich 60-acre garden. The enchanting aroma of his flowers greets all who approach the entrance, leaving a lasting impression.

Sumqayıt Dövlət Teatrında aktyor, Veteran klubunda direktor (1986-1988), Araz kinoteatrında müdir müavini (1988-1990), Araz kinoteatrında direktor (1990-1993), “Sinema” kiçik dövlət müəssisəsində direktor (1988-1993) “Elşad K” şirkətinin prezidenti (1996-2000), Mədəni İnkişaf Mərkəzi ictimai birliyinin sədri (2007), ULUS FİLM prodüsser mərkəzinin direktoru (2008), Simurq.info saytının baş redaktoru (2017) vəzifələrində çalışır. “Cavad xan” filminin təbliğatına və yayımına rəhbərlik edərək Moskvada, Tehranda, Budapeştdə, Varşavada, Kiyevdə və Nyu-York şəhərlərində təqdimatınin keçrilmisinə nail olmuşdur. 2005 -ci il tarixdən 565 №-li Şəhadətnamə ilə Azərbaycan Respublikası Əsilzadələr Məclisinin üzvüdür.
2021- il iyul ayından Azərbaycan Respublikası Mədəniyyət Nazirliyi yanında İctimai Şuranın sədridir.
